Bulk Email Marketing to AOL

None of my emails are getting to my AOL customers, what's going on???

GEORGE'S REPLY

Your bulk email marketing campaign isn't getting to your AOL customers because AOL thinks it's SPAM. AOL is trying to protect it's paying customers from the annoyances and dangers of SPAM. With 80% of all email being SPAM AOL and other Internet Service Providers like it have put protections in place to shield it's customers.

AOL uses blacklists, SPAM filters, virus filters, and whitelists. Your email has most likely been caught by their whitelist system. A whitelist like a blacklist is a list of names that AOL recognizes. The blacklist is a list of names they don't want email from and subsequently block all email from that name. A whitelist is the opposite, it's a list that they allow all email through. For AOL, if you aren't on the whitelist your email won't get through. In order to get on their whitelist you have to signup for their program, meet their rules, and follow through on their technical requirements. Once you've done that you can then send email to their users.

There are different levels of the whitelist program, do your research to find out what your needs are and what you're capable of doing to meet them.
